A bathroom is a place that one should be able to go in and relax, whether taking a nice hot bath, long hot shower or even as a place to get ready to go somewhere. It is a place that can get boring and may need to be changed more often than any other room in the house.
Rather than having a major project or a major plumbing change there are 5 tips for an easy bathroom remodel. They can be done quickly and no need to spend a lot of money doing so.
1)Paint: Painting a space Is one of the easiest, least expensive things that can be done but you need to put a lot of thought into what color you want. You need to take a color swatch home and check it with your lighting and make sure it is exactly what you want. Remember that the swatches from the store only gives you an idea of what the color will look like on your wall! You also need to take into consideration that a darker color will make a room smaller and if your bathroom is already small you may want to go with a lighter color. Keep in mind that walls aren’t the only things that you can paint. When it comes to a bathroom makeover a cabinet with a fresh coat of paint gives the room more charm.
2) Organize: This is a good time to go though the cabinets, drawers and storage spaces and get rid of any outdated make-up, medication or any other supplies that have seen their better days. Everything should be put in places that like things are at, and if you haven’t used it in awhile then toss it. Also, if you keep only hand soap with minimal decorative pieces on the sink area it makes things look a lot neater.
3)Recycle: If you have any old jelly jars or other kinds of containers you can put cotton balls in one, qtips in one, etc. If you have a wine rack that you aren’t using you could put it up on the wall to hold towels. It looks very nice and decorative.
4) Accessorize: One of the best ways to do a makeover in the bathroom is to change the shower curtain and shower hooks. Also adding new hand towels to correspond with the new colors you have decided to decorate with is another way to make a noticeable difference.
5) Add Finishing Touches: Change the handles on the cabinets or maybe buy a new rug.
